Treads

Treads manufactured by ACL Industries, Inc. are available in a variety of materials including aluminum, fiberglass and stainless steel. ACL products can be ordered by and shipped to supply centers, ship yards, and the fleet directly. We have the industry experience and reputation to handle your requirements.

ACL Industries, Inc. manufactures all treads to Navy drawings and MIL specifications (see specific product for applicable drawings/specifications) from in stock materials.

We offer our treads in a wide variety of material and styles to match your existing requirements. Standard widths are 4, 6, and 9 inches. Customer must specify the tread length with ordering or requesting a quote.

Tread Fiberglass Grating

The SNF grating tread is designed to replace existing IL-105 fiberglass inclined ladder treads. Flame resistant and low magnetic permeability make the SNF well suited for MCM and MHC class ships.

 

 

    

Tread Aluminum
  The SNH tread is standard on aluminum inclined ladders and also is available as a replacement to worn or damage existing treads. The top surface can be ordered with plain surface or with an upset rectangular punch to facilitate water drainage and improved footing.

 

 

    

Tread Aluminum Abrasive Filled
  Our SNAT (Type-I) treads are certified to MIL-T-24634 and are available in aluminum only. The SNAT tread is used on aluminum inclined ladders and also is available as a replacement to worn or damage existing treads.

 

 

    

Tread Aluminum Cap
  The SNC tread is designed to provide a quick and economical solution to replace worn or damaged treads. Install as a “cap” over existing treads including SNC-SB, SNH, and SNAT types.

 

 

    

Tread Aluminum Cap & Steel Sub Base
  This tread replaces the Type “G” fiberglass tread and is also used in machinery or deckhouses where Steel Inclined Ladders are specified. Heavily worn or damaged treads can be replaced quickly without loss of accessibility to affected areas.

 

 

    

Tread Aluminum Feather
  The SNAT-F (Type-I) feathering treads are certified to MIL-T-24634 and is manufactured to 804-2255402 rev. B., (PC 37). The SNH-F (Type-F) feathering tread is manufactured to 804-2255402 rev. C., (PC 14). They are both replacement structural treads used on aluminum Accommodation ladders.

 

 

    

Tread Steel Structural
  Our SNS (Type-D) are manufactured to 804-860041 rev. D-D. This is a replacement structural tread offered in galvanized steel only. The SNS tread is formed from galvanized steel.

 

 

    

Tread Steel Structural Grating
  Our SNG (Type-E) Grating tread is manufactured to 804-860041 rev. D-D. This is a replacement structural tread offered in galvanized steel only. The SNG tread is fabricated from galvanized bar grating steel.

 

 

    

Repair Tread
  Ram Series repair treads provide a safe, long-lasting, and economical mans of replacing worn and unsafe treads.
